I am a rider. I travel a lot with my motorcycle. The only issue I face in my rides is underwear riding up or chafing during long rides.

I have been facing this issue for a while now. My friends who travel with me on long rides suggested looking for durable and comfortable underwear that would fit perfectly during rides.

After deep research, I found out that Sportneer Men’s Cycling shorts were the best in the market and hence I had to buy those. I tried them out for a month, and they turned out to be the best purchase I ever made.

Here’s a detailed review of the best-padded motorcycle underwear for men.

10 Best Padded Motorcycle Underwear for Men Reviewed

Sportneer Men’s Cycling Shorts

Offering the perfect balance between rider comfort and aero dynamism, these cycling shorts by Sportneer will have you switching up the gears on your road bike and saddling in for your smoothest ride to date.

Engineered with a blend that provides maximum moister transfer, these shorts offer a second-skin fit that doesn’t shift in the saddle and allows perspiration to pass easily through the fabric.

The shorts’ flatlock seams have been designed to offer maximum stretch and flexibility, giving you the freedom to pedal out ahead of the peloton with no pinch or bind.

The shorts seem to be very well made. The padding in the middle is gel-like in feel and is comfortable to ride on. Even on long rides, these will provide a relaxing experience, and you won’t have to worry about any marks whatsoever.

The only problem you could face with these is that they are not true to size while buying them. I would suggest you go for a size smaller for the perfect fit.

These shorts come in 5 designs and cannot be bought in sets.

What we like

  • Provides good moisture transfer, thus promoting dry experience
  • Contoured and non-restricting design for your man parts

What we don’t like

  • Not true to size

Przewalski Men’s Cycling Underwear

Przewalski 3D padded cycling underwear shorts are made with quick-dry and lightweight fabric that are great for cycling.

The highly breathable, ultra-durable Chamois with gradient design delivers comfort and critical on-saddle support to create cycling bike shorts that you should choose for long-distance rides.

This underwear provides a comfortably snug fit that will keep these cycling tights in place with the ability to move freely. Flat-locked stitching strictly follows the contour of the body for added comfort.

These are completely moisture-proof due to their unique material. Meanwhile, the pad is perforated for airflow and ventilation in the saddle area, making it lightweight, breathable, quick-drying, and help to prevent saddle sores.

These are guaranteed to prevent your rear from feeling sore and uncomfortable no matter how long the ride is.

These are great because they don’t move around. The padding is just right, not bulky, but just right, and they are snug but not too tight. You don’t have some inserts to deal with, like with regular loose bike shorts.

Plus, you don’t look like some bike geek when you arrive in those tight padded bike shorts. These come in one design with carrying color schemes.

What we like

  • Padded rear for comfort
  • Moisture free experience

What we don’t like

  • Looks might not be too great

BALEAF Men’s Bike Cycling Shorts

These shorts offer soft, breathable, moisture-wicking fabric that keeps you dry and comfortable during your riding. The Mesh design on both sides of the legs is perfect for air permeability and keeps you cool throughout.

The gel padding in the ideal place is adequately sized and sufficiently thick to reduce vibration on long rides. A great feature of these is that it has sizable pockets for carrying important stuff.

Along with this, the elastic material with a professional silicone antiskid strip keeps shorts from riding up, which is especially important for riders.

The Chamois pad is pretty good. I am not super picky about my chamois pads yet, even if I do longer rides on occasion. It is a gel pad and feels noticeably different and firmer than foam pads; it may take some getting used to the difference.

However, the fabric is extremely thin. In fact, it is thinner than the standard and the other model. While this may be to improve ventilation, I don’t like that at all. This also affects the amount of compression you get out of it.

What we like

  •  UPF 50+ fabric rating protects you against harmful ultraviolet rays
  • Reflective details for low-light visibility
  • Flat seam for chafe-free comfort

What we don’t like

  • The thinner fabric reduces overall comfort

Leo performance brief

The unique thing about this is that this brief will make you look naturally photoshopped! This butt enhancer padded underwear is a brief with a twist: it features removable contour padding that gives your butt a boost.

It also has specialty seams for an additional butt-lifting effect – even if you wear this brief without pads, it will still give you a bit of a lift.

I was a little worried at first that these would look too fake or not add anything to my butt, but I have to say I am very satisfied with them. These padded underwear gives your butt some shape and makes it look more profound and noticeable.

The material of this is a little thick, so it’s not too good in summers, and it could be a little better fitting at the front as one could feel the front not being completely supported.

The butt is padded well and can be removed easily, and these will stay wrapped up until it gets colder. Making them a good choice for winters

What we like

  • The choice to have multiple pads at once
  • Good choice for winter seasons
  • True to size

What we don’t like

  • Not suitable for extensive movement

X-TIGER Men’s Cycling Underwear

If you are Tired of cheap, bulky cycling shorts that easily wear after little use, then these just might be the perfect underwear for you.

Specially designed with shaped as your bike seat and stitched 5D thickened padded, which can protect friction between hip and your bike seat, fit more tightly, relieving hip pain during the long riding.

The pads in these shorts allow you to cycle the distance without experiencing chafing and saddle sores for absolute cloud-like comfort.

The unique polyester material easily and quickly absorbs and releases sweat from the skin for comfortable wear during the longest cycle rides and can be easily worn under everyday clothes.

Although the pad is good, the cut of the shorts is not right. As soon as one starts pedaling, all of the leg inseams ride up to the crouch. Then it gets into a tight band, squeezing your thigh and leaves your thigh to rub on the seat because the inseam is no longer there.

These also might be uncomfortable for some, and I would suggest wearing them over cotton underwear.

What we like

  • The breathable and lightweight fabric of the product
  • Excellent padding for long duration

What we don’t like

  • Not very comfortable for plus size

Rounderbum Basic Padded Boxer Brief

The special thing about this underwear is that the original design gives more gluteal volume and definition, adapting perfectly to every body shape. Its design is practical, discreet, and comfortable.

It can be used as everyday underwear, extreme sports, or great for sitting down for long periods.

They fill in your butt area with just a little padding to push out your pants in the area that needs it the most.

The item is built the same way as padded underwear and has an insert made of foam that goes into a pocket built-in fabric interior in the rear of the brief. The foam can be taken out when you wash the underwear.

Although this is a product to primarily enhance your butt, one wear, and the pockets were already stretched and rolling up, the pads are thin foam, so if you are looking for a butt lifter or increasing the size and shape of your butt, this is not the product for you.

What we like

  • Removable pads that can be reused
  • Highly flexible for extensive movement
  • Comfortable enough for daily use

What we don’t like

  • Run very small and needs to be bought two sizes larger

XGC Men’s Shorts Underwear

These short underwears provide an ergonomic design, 3D cutting, and advanced sewing process to make them comfortable to wear on.

These are functionally very breathable with great moisture absorption rates, making them perfect for many who sweat.

The sweat-releasing fabrics will help maintain good breathability so that you will not feel stuffy. The fabrics will not stick to your skin, and you will stay breathable, cool, and dry for a long time when cycling.

There is a large area of exquisite light-reflecting LOGO design on the front and back of shorts, which will make you safer and more dynamic during the night while cycling.

Also, the large areas of high-cost non-slip materials at the bottom of shorts will effectively prevent your shorts from moving up and down while cycling and reduce the likelihood of irritability caused by friction during exercise.

The 3D shape means that when you get off your bike and walk around, the blocky parts underneath tend to get restricted a lot which can be very uncomfortable. That’s why I would suggest you never use these for everyday use.

What we like

  • Custom designed for cycling
  • High-quality fabric with excellent durability

What we don’t like

  • It cannot be used for anything except sports

Saxx Boxer Briefs

These underwear are specifically designed for complete comfort and total freedom of movement, and these are boxers for men who want to unwind at the end of a long day.

These are made from super soft moisture-wicking fabric featuring a fly and anti-roll waistband. These men’s boxer briefs underwear has a 5” seam, sits mid-thigh comfortably, and does not ride up.

They are also equipped with ballpark support which reduces friction and keeps your man-parts in place with breathable mesh panels for chafe-free comfort.

This underwear has a Three-D Fit for complete ergonomic comfort and Flat Out Seams to prevent irritation. The easy-care boxers are machine wash and tumble dry for zero hassle.

However, the only problem is that they don’t stay put on your legs, so they bundle up with the ballpark pouch and become super noticeable and uncomfortable. You shouldn’t notice your underwear all day long, and yet with these, it was all the time.

What we like

  • Provide great comfort due to fabric
  • Easy to take care of and maintain

What we don’t like

  • Rides up and are very noticeable

Jiyaru Boxer Brief

These briefs are made from super soft natural cotton fabric, and this men’s underwear would provide you with much elasticity and effectively reduce irritating sweating smell and humidity.

These provide a good bulge in the rear and towards the front, and their short length also instigates greater movement and is super helpful.

This is a fine product if you’re looking to get a bubble butt and/or want a more prominent front bulge, but it is tight around the thighs. It can be so tight that you would feel that you are damaging your body. For that reason, I would recommend that you buy at least one size bigger. Otherwise, you will have a very tight fit.

The quality of the stitching and waistband fabric were all amazing and did not disappoint. The padding for the butt is awesome because they come out and slide into their own pockets, so they are not going to move.

So the only possible problem you can have with these is their tight fit. They come in 3 colors and cannot be bought in sets.

What we like

  • The fair and affordable pricing of the product
  • Provides excellent mobility

What we don’t like

  • Very tight around the thighs

Factors to consider before buying padded motorcycle underwear

Fabric

There is a large range of materials that have evolved over the years. Here are the most prominent ones,

Nylon blends

The newly developed nylon fibers stretch, offer compression, and hold up to the abrasion and rigours of the cycling motion that rubs against the bicycle saddle.

Nylon bike shorts are rugged and fit great but aren’t very comfortable and can be quite troublesome on long journeys.

Polyester blends

These blends are a little different. They offer better comfort and are much suitable for padding. However, the only problem is that they don’t have high durability or that great a fit.

Amongst our products, X-TIGER Men’s Cycling Underwear is the best.

Inseams

The length of the leg’s inseam is a matter of personal preference. We think the shorts should be a few inches above the knee for most people.

Some want shorter shorts to avoid tan lines. Bike shorts come in Tall (about 11 inches), Short (about 5 to 7), and Regular Inseams (about 8-9 inches).

Professionals typically have thick thighs and look for a slightly longer inseam around 10 inches.

Amongst our products, Sportneer Men’s Cycling Shorts has the best inseams.

Elastics

Leg elastic is important to keep the shorts in place. Wider elastic has less tendency to roll. Some bike shorts have a drawstring, especially shorts for multiple uses like triathlon and fitness.

A drawstring is not essential for road bike shorts but may come in handy for swimming, yoga, or running.

Amongst our products, Saxx Boxer Briefs is the most elastic.

Pockets

This year you will see more pockets as we need our devices on hand to stay on our course, find rest stop information, and respond to messages.

Pockets are important for holding snacks, tissues, and essential personal items. Amongst our products, BALEAF Men’s Bike Cycling Shorts has the best pockets.

Our pick for the best:

Sportneer Men’s Cycling Shorts is the obvious choice for the best motorcycle underwear. Not only is it super comfortable the pads are amazing and will keep you comfortable even on longer durations without leaving any marks. They also offer great support for your man parts, making them perfect.
